If you want bbq at a decent price, around $20 with tip, Bandanas is the place to go. Food, service and ambiance are great.
Great stop off of I-70. The pork plater was a favorite. Staff were very kind and quick! You know it's good when customers are greeted by name at the door.
It's was good bbq not the best but far far from the worst. Had a 3 meat combo bristle ribs and sausage. It's all was good I just wasn't a fan of their sausage but not their fault. I find it hard to find really good sausage at bbq spots.
We stopped by on our way to St. Louis. It was early in the evening and not super busy. We were seated quickly and our server was prompt. We've been at this location many times . I like Bandana's, but it's a fairly generic BBQ restaurant. I ordered the brisket sandwich and fries. My wife ordered the turkey price buster meal. The brisket was decent. It was tender and moist and had good flavor. The fries were hot and fresh. My wife said the turkey was dry. It did look dry. Total cost including tip was $39. By the time we left the normal dinner crowd was coming in and business was picking up. It's a decent place to go for BBQ in the area, but definitely not my top pick.
The food was fine but the service was excellent. My friend & I were only in the area for the 2024 open home game for the UFL STL Battlehawks football game. We wanted to go to an ice cream shop after dinner. Our waitress gave us a great suggestion and all the other tables around agreed with her. It was kinda cool. It reminded me of where I grew up and how helpful everyone was.
The food was good. We had the chicken and brisket, plus fried okra and coleslaw. But I want to rave about the service. Just the best
Very good!! We were on a road trip from Rockford and would love a Bandana's near us! Service was very fast and our waitress was super sweet! I had the 2 meat combo with pork and ribs. While my dad had the 1/2 rack rib platter. The ribs were a little fatty on 1 end but amazing otherwise and very juicy! Full of flavor!! The pork was a little dry, but was a great opportunity to try all the sauces at the table, Chicago Sweet and the Spicy were favorites! Both meals came with 2 slices of amazing garlic bread both crunchy and soft it was sooo good! My dad ordered okra and green beans as sides, okra needed a little salt and the green beans were nothing special. I had the potato salad which was perfectly mixed and flavored as well as the fried corn on the cob . Will defenitely be returning!
This place is pretty good if you're looking for decent BBQ and a selection of yummy sauces. The ambiance is what you would expect at your Midwest BBQ joint and the service could have been a little better, but I've had worse. The potato salad wasn't my favorite but everything else seemed to be pretty typical for what you would expect for a BBQ place!
